Summer Street Power Wash Program

The Summer Street Power Wash Program will provide power washing services through the Downtown Flushing area to keep the sidewalks clean and free of odor. The power wash program will use heavy-duty power washing on the identified "power wash in need" hotspots. Council Member Peter Koo stated, "As a transportation hub and world-renown restaurant and shopping destination, downtown Flushing gets it's fair share of litter and spillage from trash bags. Power washing is an excellent way to keep our community clean and improve our shared quality of life during the busy summer months."

"I want to thank Flushing BID for their dedication to keeping our neighborhood clean and beautiful," said State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky. "Downtown Flushing is one of Queens' most vibrant neighborhoods and we long supported the BID's work to increase sanitation and cleanup services.

Throughout the summer, the power wash program will be tackling all the greasy sidewalks in the neighborhood to create a clean and welcoming environment. The Flushing BID calls for everyone to Keep Flushing Fresh. We are committed to making Flushing a better place or all.
