Flushing BID 2019 Lunar New Year Celebration

Lunar New Year has been celebrated for over 5,000 years by a large portion of the world’s population. In Queens, there is a large and growing population of Asian residents. Downtown Flushing, specifically, has many first-generation immigrants who had left their home for a new life.

Flushing BID believes this is a great event for seniors to help bring back memories and celebrate their heritage.The BID is partnering with MEhome Realty and the community senior centers to celebrate the event with cultural performances and deliver gift bags for each auduience.
