Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise Borough Forum

NYC Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policy Initiatives Phil Thompson said, “Mayor de Blasio is investing in minority and woman-owned businesses at record levels because we know that when these types of businesses succeed, so do communities.” Under Mayor Bill de Blasio’s leadership, a record of over 6,000 certified M/WBE were reached. The next step would be to bring more opportunities for success directly to M/WBE through the borough forums.

The borough forums provide business opportunities directly to diverse business owners, such as learning how to certify their business with government entities, market their business to city government, access affordable loans to perform on city contracts and more. For business who take out loans under $150,000, agencies could do business directly with contractors.
