Roosevelt Avenue Bridge over the Van Wyck Expressway

On or about January 4, 2016, the NYC Department of Transportation Division of Bridges will commence the Rehabilitation of the Roosevelt Avenue Bridge. As a result, traffic lanes will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on the Roosevelt Avenue Bridge between Janet Place and 126th Street. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times. Variable Message Signs will be installed to alert motorists of construction. Traffic Enforcement Agents will be stationed to assist traffic. This first stage will take approximately 12 months.
