NYC Styrofoam Ban

Starting July 1st, 2015, the use of expanded polystyrene foam, or styrofoam, will be illegal in NYC. Warnings will be handed out to violators until January 1st, 2016, and afterwards they will be fined. Small businesses making less than $500,000 per year can be eligible for a hardship waiver.
